Christmas Card FAIL!

Ok... so perhaps I was a little too over zealous regarding the Holiday Card Contest! I spent over $100 at Paper Source buying fun things but didn't end up submitting anything. I did, however, make really cute cards to send to my family and Mark's family.

They are sort of a more earthy/homemade version of the super popular photo cards that everyone is sending out these days.

I used pictures from our trip to Alaska this past summer. The first one is of the two of us standing in front of the Mendenhall Glacier. It was beautiful! The second is just a goofy picture of us with a polar bear in front of a touristy shop in Ketchican.

My only instruction from Mark on our cards was to make sure they weren't too girly. When I sent him these photos (he never even got to see one in person before they went out) his response was: "wow, these make everyone elses xmas cards look like shit. very nice!" and then "i'm really really impressed. these are awesome."

So I guess I sort of won a Holiday Card Contest... at least in my boyfriend's eyes! :)
